Sean Brown pleads guilty

Suspect pleads guilty to tampering with corpse in murder of Sugar Land teen:

One of the suspects in the murder of 16-year-old Ashton Glover has pleaded guilty.

Sean Brown pleaded guilty to charges of tampering with a corpse for helping Matt McCombs dispose of Ashton’s body. Brown was sentenced to 10 years.

If you remember Matt McCombs shot Ashton in the head out of ‘morbid curiosity’. McCombs pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 50 years with the possibility of parole in 25.

I don’t know if prosecutors have dropped the murder charge against Brown.

  1. i was in jail with him and we had dscussed the fact that he shouldnt be charged with murder but a lesser charge of tampering with eveidence so that is good for him he is a good person and was in the wrong place at the wrong time…..

  3. Hi I was good friends with Ashton…and Cody, he was NOT a good person. and he was NOT in the wrong place at the wrong time. Regardless of if he knew what was going to happen to Ashton, he was her “FRIEND” and NO good person would help “dispose” of their friends body.

he deserves much longer than 10 years.

  5. I think its funny. How fast people are to judge people in strange and extraordinary situations. I often wonder if the shoe was on the other foot, and these stone casters were in the exact situation as this kid was would they be so self rightoeus? Or would the desire to self preservate take over?

    Get a fucking clue people.

Um, He just witnessed his best friend fatally shoot another good friend (that he clearly held no bad feelings towards) in the back just for the hell of it. You mean to tell me that if any of you Holier than thou were in the exact same situation, you would go against this psychotic bastard? Let me remind you this boy killed an innocent person and HE’S STILL ARMED!

Yeah, I would be obliged to do anything he said, at least until I got away from his crazy ass.

It is wrong to just judge the actions of people without first looking into why. This boy was in a situation in which had the potential of being dangerous for himself. How was he to know that McCombs wasn’t going to kill him too just out of “Morbid Curiosity”? Or if he suddenly darted out the door of the diner how does he know that McCombs wasn’t going to jump in the car go straight to Brown’s house and pick off his family members. Remember He had no beef with Ashton when he killed her, and Texas does have the death penatly and they fucking use it! So what does he have to loose by killing a few more innocent people?

    Think about it.

  6. So between Texas and the Canadian border Brown had absolutlely no opportunities to escape?

I find that hard to believe.

    BTW,
    loose=oppsite of tight

lose=To be unsuccessful in retaining possession

  7. I find that hard to believe…so b/c Brown was too much of a pussy to do the right thing, that makes everything OK?

And assuming he WAS innocent (which I doubt), he could’ve fled the scene and gone to the cops about McCombs, since they would’ve found him to be a victim rather than a willing participant. But since he didn’t, that speaks leaps and bounds about his role in the murder.

You’re right fearing Matt is not good enough reason for jumping in a car with him and heading to Canada. Fearing the police will see you as an accomplice and not as a victim would have. After all it was dark, noone else was around, and it was his word against Matt’s. Even if he did snitch what was there to stop Matt from saying it was his idea or even that it was Sean who stole the gun and that he handed it to Matt when they got to lot. Remember, Matt confessed AFTER the two were caught.

“I find that hard to believe&hellipso b/c Brown was too much of a pussy to do the right thing, that makes everything OK?

And assuming he WAS innocent (which I doubt), he could&rsquove fled the scene and gone to the cops about McCombs, since they would&rsquove found him to be a victim rather than a willing participant. But since he didn&rsquot, that speaks leaps and bounds about his role in the murder.”

First, I never said it was okay. I completely agree that Sean should not have ran and that he should have told the police immediately. Sean also believes this which is why he plead guilty and is now doing ten years in jail.

So Chuck, if it had been you, you would have ran from a guy who with a gun. Now that is something I find really hard to believe. Considering the fact that bullets can hit people running almost as well as they can hit people standing still and clearly Matt had pretty decent aim. That would’ve been a very stupid move.

All I’m saying is that in this case it’s not as straight and narrow as you guys want to believe it to be. There are logical explanations as to why Sean reacted the way he did and if you took the time to think about it, they don’t seem so farfetched. Espeacially when you consider the factors involved.

  9. I talked to him in jail also. Actually he slept right under me (bunk bed). He said that he helped burry the body because combs was his best friend since they were idk how young. He said he wasn’t a snitch eather, that he would never tell on anybody. But who knows, he could have just been saying that to look “cool”. Cause in jail being a snitch is not cool. I realy dont know what i would have done if my best friend killed someone right in font of me. Its kinda hard to make the right choice and once you have made a decision, you can’t go back on it. Also, i hate when people act like they know everything. As if they know what was giong through seans mind.

  10. So Brown was more concerned about not being a snitch than doing the right thing? That speaks volumes right there…also, remember how they went to breakfast after committing the crime, then returned to bury Glover’s body? Brown could’ve easily excused himself to use the bathroom while they were in the restaurant and gone to the cops…this guy deserves every last day he was sentenced to!

  11. Also, if McCombs HAD lied and said that he simply gave the gun to Brown when they got to the scene of the crime, wouldn’t fingerprint testing clear that up?
