New trial sought for Damien Echols:
Yet another appeal has been filed on behalf of convicted killer Damien Echols, he of the West Memphis 3. Once again they’re citing the DNA evidence that proves actually nothing and alleged jury misconduct.
Again, notice that the focus is all on Echols and not of the other convicted killers Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley. The WM3 cultists would argue that’s because that Echols is the one on death row. I would argue that if they’re all innocent shouldn’t they all receive equal support.
Like I’ve said many times before the West Memphis 3 movement is nothing more than a cult of personality with Echols at the helm. You people are giving him everything he wanted out of killing those boys. There’s a reason that all his appeals keep getting denied. It’s because he’s guilty and you’re too wrapped up in the whole ‘outcast’ thing to be able to see it objectively.
