Officers remembered 2 years after shooting:
Teen hailed as hero receiving death threats:
It’s been two years today since Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers Sean Clark and Jeff Shelton were shot and killed. Their accused killer, Demeatrius Montgomery, still sits in a Raleigh prison. No word yet on when his trial will start.
Clark and Shelton were shot in the head, allegedly by Montgomery, after responding to a domestic disturbance call. Montgomery was not part of that call.
To make matters worse a man who tried to help the officers is now receiving death threats from the local scum in the area.
Then 18-year-old Steven McMickens tried to help Officers Clark and Shelton but to no avail. After hearing the story about McMickens, donations came in that allowed him to pursue a college degree at Central Piedmont Community College. Now he’s completing his coursework online and may transfer to an out-of-state college. All for trying to help two dying police officers who left behind families.
You people who are making these threats make me sick. I can’t wait until your boy Montgomery gets strapped to the table in Raleigh and dances with the needle.
