Sex offender pleads guilty in death of Orange County woman:

Registered sex offender John Steven Burgess pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges in the death of Donna Jou. Burgess was the last person seen with Jou alive. The pair met through a personal ad on craigslist. Burgess claims that he gave Jou coke and heroin which she allegedly OD’d on then dumped her body in the Pacific Ocean.

Under the plea agreement, Burgess is only looking at five years. He’s already serving 3 years for failing to register as a sex offender.
