Internet sex predator gets one-year term under plea agreement:

I originally posted about Matthew Cargill here. He was one of the first sex offenders I posted about 3 years ago. Cargill, from Hawaii, posed as a 16-year-old boy named Nico in order to meet a 15-year-old girl whom he sexually assaulted. Cargill was 29 at the time.

Even though Cargill has prior convictions for indecent exposure, open lewdness, and harassment by stalking he only gets 1 year for the assault and 5 years probation. Way to send a message to sex offenders.

Once he gets out it will only be a matter of time before he’s back in prison.
