Here’s some good news on this site for once.
Angelo Mendoza Jr. of Bakersfield, California has regained partial sight in his remaining eye and it’s expected to improve.
As I’m sure most of you recall Angelo had one of his eyes bitten out by his father, Angelo Mendoza, during an alleged PCP fueled assault on his 4-year-old son.
Thanks so much for posting this. That sweet little boy really stuck in my head and heart. Thank God the last thing he would ever see wouldn’t be his insane father attacking and maiming him.

And it seems like he has plenty of relatives who want to take care of him (from the article).
This has made my day! I continue to think of this little guy and pray that the courts have the sense to just take him away from any family that would produce such a monster as his father. I can’t imagine any of them will have what it takes to help this little boy heal, and if he’s with a family member there’s always the risk he’ll be exposed to his father again some day. You can’t tell me no one in the family was aware of the abuse this father was putting his son through.
Better for him to get a whole new identity and life far, far away from his so-called “family.”
This is really wonderful news. I hope the little boy’s eyesight approves and that he will have 20/20 vision in that eye. This poor little child deserves so much more than he got and I really hope that he finds a loving family that will adore him as their own.
Thank God!!!! I have been worried about this child every day, and will continue to pray that his eyesight improves even more.
Praise God! This almost brought me to tears (but I’m at work so I must maintain some composure). I have prayed for this wonderful child. I will keep praying for continued recovery.

So very happy for the little guy. I have been so worried about him. I have 2 little ones and everytime I look at them I think of him.
