Wellington teen Daniel Petric gets 23 years to life in prison for killing his mother:

You remember Daniel Petric, don’t you? He’s the Ohio teen who was convicted of shooting his parents because they wouldn’t let him play the video game Halo 3. His Mother, Susan Petric, died but his father Mark Petric survived. Anyway, this week Petric the younger was sentenced to 23 years to life for his actions. Petric cried like a baby during the hearing.

The judge who convicted him actually seems to blame the game. I’m 40 years old. I was part of the first generation of gamers who got their Atari 2600s in the late ’70s. I can’t wait until some of us start holding positions in national politics and judgeships so people will stop blaming the game when obviously it’s the criminal that’s wrong.
