Teen Pleads Guilty In ’07 Dunbar Village Gang Rape:

16-year-old Avion Lawson has pleaded guilty to the infamous gang rape at Dunbar Village in West Palm Beach, Florida. He’s also agreed to testify against the other defendants.

This is no slap on the wrist plea bargain either. Lawson pleaded guilty to sexual battery, burglary, kidnapping, grand theft and promoting the sexual performance of a child among other charges. He could be sentenced to 11 life sentences plus 50 years. The least he’s looking at is 49 years behind bars. Sentencing is set for October 13th.

If you think his sentence is harsh for a kid who was 14 when he was arrested remember he’s accused of taking part in a home invasion robbery where the suspects gang-raped a mother, forced her to have sex with her own son and then threw cleaning chemicals on her to try to destroy evidence. To me, 49 years is a good start.
