Crime was horrific, but teens deserve second chance:
Check out this letter to the editor sent to the Sun-Sentinel by a woman from Boca Raton who thinks the Dunbar Village rapists deserve a second chance because they’re only teens.
But as horrific as the crime was, how do we justify sending kids to die in prison without the possibility of parole — for a crime short of murder?
Let’s see. It may just be because they gang-raped a mother, forced her to have sex with her own son and tried to set her on fire.
The penalty for this crime should be severe, but should we allow children to live and die in prison without an attempt at rehabilitation or a chance to somehow right their wrong?
How about yes since you can’t take back a gang rape and forced incest.
