Soundgarden singer sues craigslist over Brittany Murphy tape

Chris Cornell beats Craigslist on ghoulish tape theft:

Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell has sued craigslist because his wedding video was stolen and ended up on craigslist. The video contains footage of the recently departed Brittany Murphy. Nothing salacious, she was just at the wedding but the ad allegedly listed the tape as ‘lost footage’ of Ms. Murphy.

Cornell sued craigslist claiming infringement of copyright and craigslist pulled the ad. The blog post I linked to points out that copyright infringement is a federal crime.

If craigslist is quick to pull an ad over a federal crime why they do still allow child prostitution and human trafficking on their site? Aren’t they federal crimes?

Again, no disrespect was intended towards Ms. Murphy.
