Now Oklahoma is the newest state to want to pass a law to target predators on sites like MySpace and Facebook.
It’s the same old. They want registered sex offenders to give all their internet user information to authorities to make sure they stay off MySpace and Facebook etc. They even claim that their law will keep predators off the sites even if they give false information saying that the sites will be able to recognize their ‘computer identity’.
If they mean IP address there are ways around that too.
And as with other states, in my opinion, this is just for show to garner votes.
The proposed law does not address unregistered sex offenders and doesn’t instruct parents that they should be watching their kids’ activities online.
