Georgia could restrict sex offenders from Facebook:
Georgia, the state not the country, is considering their own brand of legislation to try to keep registered sex offenders off of social sites like the ubiquitous MySpace and Facebook.
Again this reeks of vote pandering.
Does any of this sound familiar to you?
The measure was introduced by State Rep. Rob Teilhet. I personally could care less what his political affiliation is. However, Teilhet is running for a certain state office. That’s right kids. He’s running for state Attorney General.
Teilhet, a Smyrna Democrat running for attorney general, said the proposal will help clear the Internet of dangerous child predators.
You know what else will help keep the internet clear of predators? Keeping them in jail in the first place.
And again here is another politician too afraid to tell parents to do their damn jobs. It’s not supposed to be the government’s responsibility to raise your damn kids.
