Man Lures Woman On MySpace, Forces Her To Have Oral Sex:

News stations need to be more observant when posting their headlines because the sub-headline to this article was “Authorities Say Suspect Offered To Give 21-Year-Old Job”. Bad form.

Anyway 24-year-old Jeremy Sherrill of Greenacres, Florida is accused of forcing a woman to perform oral sex on him, which is still rape.

Sherrill, posing under the name of Joaquin, offered the 18-year-old receptionist position over MySpace. The ‘interview’ took place in Sherrill’s car where he allegedly forced the victim to blow him.

This happened in January but Sherrill allegedly threatened the victim so she didn’t come forward until last month.

Police say that Sherrill tried to pull this stunt again but the victim in that instance got away.

Two things about this story. The first is real employers do not use MySpace. The second is if you are violated in this manner I beg of you to report it.

In this case, the second victim was lucky. Most times that isn’t always the case.

UPDATE 10/20/2011: Sherrill has been convicted and is looking at 15 years.
