False minor Internet sting catches Cottonwood man:

Sad Panda over there is 22-year-old Royce Michael Gibson of Tehama County, California.

He was busted by local investigators in a sting operation. Gibson allegedly tried to set up a meeting for sex with a 13-year-old girl over MySpace. Or as it should be called he tried setting up the rape of a child over MySpace.

Luckily the 13-year-old girl were actually investigators for “Operation Safe Sam” which has caught 7 people trying to solicit sex from minors.

I would applaud their efforts if these scumbags were actually held behind bars for any serious length of time.
