Utah uses Twitter to announce execution:

Finally a state Attorney General I kind of like.

Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff posted on his Twitter account about the firing squad execution Ronnie Lee Gardner. To read more about Gardner you can go to Bonnie’s Blog of Crime. She’s from Utah and went to the execution though she was not a witness.

Here’s what AG Shurtleff posted on his Twitter…

A solemn day. Barring a stay by Sup Ct, & with my final nod, Utah will use most extreme power & execute a killer. Mourn his victims. Justice

I just gave the go ahead to Corrections Director to proceed with Gardner’s execution. May God grant him the mercy he denied his victims.

Apparently, some people with wadded panties and rectally placed sticks have a problem with this saying things like this was too serious a matter to be relayed on Twitter. Which means I guess they think the Iranian election was just a party then. The panties and sticks people also say that it was disrespectful of the situation. I think Gardner’s ‘disrespect’ of his victims is more important than an AG tweeting but again I have no panties or sticks.

Personally, I think this is great. This is what I want an Attorney General to be. I want him/her to go after the real criminals instead of going after elections.

AG Shurtleff put it best himself on said Twitter page…

WARNING! This page informs on real world of crime and punishment. “If u can’t stand the TWEET, get out of the TWITCHEN”

If I lived in Utah he would definitely have my vote.
