Carneal hearing will look at guilty plea appeal:
Heath High School gunman Michael Carneal will receive a hearing to see if he was mentally competent to see if his guilty plea was valid.
If you’ll recall, in 1997, Carneal shot and killed 3 students at Heath High School in Paducah, Kentucky. More recently, he’s been claiming that he heard voices so he can try to get out of his 25 to life sentence.
This request was previously denied.
Again, Carneal’s victims, who didn’t even know him, can’t appeal their death sentences.
