Craigslist ad tutor found guilty of misdemeanor battery:

I originally posted about Brett J. Zagorac here and here. He’s the tutor from Munster, Indiana who was advertising his services on craigslist under a fake name because he had previously been in trouble for allegedly touching students inappropriately. He was arrested for allegedly fondling a boy he was tutoring. Then he was ordered to stay away from any children and was caught tutoring another girl from Evanston, Illinois.

For the boy he was tutoring in Portage, Indiana he was convicted of the lesser charge of battery and not child molestation. That carries a max sentence of 180 days. He was released for time served. However, he is still facing charges in Evanston, Illinois for the girl he tutored there.

If this guy loves teaching as much as he supposedly does is it so hard not to touch any of the children? In my opinion, he’s been lucky so far. If he keeps it up he’s going to end up on the business side of the wrong parent who catches him touching his child.

This is him again looking for kids (dated 1/10/11). I contacted him looking for help for our daughter. Once he sent me his resume, I googled his name. I cannot believe this guy! I have learned my lesson about Craigslist!

I am simply shocked by all the negative publicity this man has received. How many of you posting on here have actually sat through the trial? The evidence was ridiculous as the child only said he was patted on the head and back. Oh, that’s right, Mr. Trench Reynolds, you wouldn’t dare touch your child like that. Some people need to learn to keep there mouth shut. I have 4 kids of my own and constantly show them affection by hugging them, patting them on the head, rubbing their backs, and letting them sit on my lap. Also, if you believe even a quarter of what they read on the internet or from media, that speaks to your intelligence level.

  You, obviously are giving false information and misrepresenting yourself. Did you sit through the trial?? Something tells me you did, fool. No parent would think to come across so harshly as you, without motive to preserve any, if there is any, sense of decency bj zagorac has left. Nice try.
