Prostitution Sting Leads to Pistol-Whipping Pimp:

This is actually an article about 25-year-old Jerome Dawkins. He was arrested after a Backpage prostitution sting in Mesa, Arizona turned up a woman who had been allegedly prostituted, beaten, choked and pistol-whipped by Dawkins.

What makes this article interesting is that it’s from the Phoenix New Times, a Village Voice Media-owned newspaper. In the article, they mention that the woman was a prostitute and that Dawkins is a pimp and that Dawkins used the Village Voice Media-owned backpage.com to traffic his victim.

How can they possibly say that Backpage adult ads are not for prostitution and that women are not being victimized on their site? They can’t. Not honestly at least.

Trust me the percentage of women who are ‘victims’ is few and far between on Backpage, most of thest women are adults, are making more money in a week than most make in a month. Yes pimps are out there, but generally speaking the kind of girls who work with them are not very popular. It is pretty easy for hobbiest to spot the girls who have pimps, and thanks to escort review sites, the word spreads fast, and NO ONE will call them anymore. Clients do not want to see girls with pimps, as shown here it is always drama. Most providers are adults, who lead normal lives, well besides the constant fear that the LAW is going to arrest us becouse we are “victimized,drugged up” women who need thier help.
