Age-progressed photo of Giovanni Gonzalez:

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has released a computer-enhanced photo that shows what they think Giovanni Gonzalez would look like today.

Giovanni went missing from Lynn, Massachusetts back in 2008. His father, Ernesto Gonzalez, is being held in jail and refuses to tell where Giovanni is now. He has claimed that he killed Giovanni but police say that there is no evidence to support that.

Giovanni if still alive would be seven years old currently.

Still no national media attention for Giovanni.

  1. I don’t think he’s alive. I want to think he is, but I just have a feeling….

    1. I agree with you, he’s already said he killed and dismembered the boy. Wasn’t this to a journalist or something? Even if there’s no evidence, poor baby has been missing too long. This is such a sad story and it make me so upset that this case gets virtually no nationwide attention, yet similar cases do. I’ve been following or trying to follow this case and Trench is right, there really is limited coverage. I hate to say it but is it a race thing? Anyway, fingers and everything crossed hey…..

      1. He said that to a Boston newspaper reporter. There is a theory that he could be in Puerto Rico.

I think it’s not only race but gender and some other factors as well. I discuss it at https://realcrime.net/2011/01/phylicia-barnes-disappearance-garners.html

  2. I have never heard of this little boy and that is sad because there was a little WHITE boy who disappeared from my city last June and I’m sure EVERYONE has heard of him, Kyron Harmon. Both little boys are precious but exactly WHAT makes Kyron so much more freakin special that he is the one getting national attention???!!! (and yes, I am white too)

    1. I think you are mmistaken.  Giovanni has had a ton of media attention.  I think the differencfe is that when a woman commits a crime against a child, it’s a little harder to comprehend.  Women are supposed to be maternal… gentle.  We can tell from this site that isn’t always the case.

      1. I would beg to differ on the amount of media attention.

        1. Giovanni got tons of media here.

          1. Are you sure we’re talking about the same child?

          2. Uh huh.  I, actually, didn’t hear anything about Kyron until Deena sent me a link.

          3. The other child.  Don’t make me go back through the comments.

          4. This is the kid who disappeared from Massachusetts and his father isn’t talking.

          5. I know, but someone was comparing the two.  Assuming they believed Kyron got more media that Giovanni.

          6. My bad. I just find it strange that he got media coverage out west.
