Now don’t misconstrue the headline. Someone did not contact police through ChatRoulette because they were the victim of a crime. Someone called their local police department to complain about ChatRoulette.

For those of you who may not know ChatRoulette is a webcam chat site where you’re paired up with a random person. It has been plagued by too many guys willing to show off their penises unsolicited. That’s what allegedly happened to a 13-year-old boy in Palmetto, Florida.

According to The Smoking Gun, someone contacted the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office to complain that a man in his 30s was masturbating on ChatRoulette while the 13-year-old was using it. I’m sure the cops are using every available resource to find the guy. That was sarcasm by the way.

What they should have done is lock up whatever parental unit was allowing this kid to go on ChatRoulette unattended.
