You know, while visiting South Jersey what I’ve done mostly is watch the local Philadelphia news so you think I would have seen this story but I didn’t.

Anyway 28-year-old Richard Whitehead of Bucks County, Pennsylvania was arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a 12-year-old girl on Facebook. Surprisingly the girl’s mother discovered the messages from Whitehead and called police. Whitehead was arrested at a park where he thought he was going to meet the girl for sex (child rape).

When a friend of the girl posted her cell phone number on the girl’s Facebook wall Whitehead allegedly started calling the other girl as well.

Whitehead also allegedly used the alias of Kevin Smith. So I guess when police arrested him he must have told them that he wasn’t even supposed to be there today.

It’s great, even though rare, to see a parent catching one of these scumbags in the act before anything can happen to their kids but again it needs to be said that 12-year-olds should not be on Facebook.
