Feds say man was pimp to girl, 16:
42-year-old Timothy Davis, aka Jhon, of Elyria, Ohio has been arrested for allegedly prostituting a 16-year-old girl on the Village Voice Media-owned Backpage.com.
Davis threatened the girl by saying he would reveal to her family that she was working as a prostitute for him. He also allegedly said that if she went to law enforcement that he would make her life a living hell.
Investigators say that the girl’s picture was put on Backpage stating that she was 21. Again that shows that Backpage’s initiative to remove pictures of girls who appear to be too young is obviously a failure.
Davis is looking at 10 to life on federal charges.
