I originally posted about Vincent Mickle here. He’s the volunteer girls soccer coach from Philadelphia who was arrested back in March of 2010 for posing as a teen on MySpace in order to try to have sex with teens. He was also accused of supplying underage girls with weed and booze in order to get them to have sex.

It turns out that worked at least once as he did have sex with a 16-year-old girl. I didn’t give it the child rape tag because 16 is the age of consent in Pennsylvania however you can still be charged with corruption of a minor.

Mickle has pleaded guilty to the charges against him, which include criminal solicitation to commit sexual acts with someone under age 16, unlawful sexual contact with minors, criminal solicitation to commit statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, and child pornography. The child porn charge comes from the fact that some explicit pictures of his grooming victims were found on his computer.

Mickle is scheduled to be sentenced on September 19th and is looking at a possible max of 265 years. While that sounds great in theory I’ll doubt he’ll get that much since prosecutors are talking about how much time he’ll have to spend on the sex offender registry.
