Death penalty sought for Michael Jacques:

It’s finally official. Federal prosecutors have formally filed that they will be seeking the death penalty for Michael Jacques.

If you’re new to the site, Jacques, of Vermont, was arrested for the brutal rape and murder of his 12-year-old niece Brooke Bennett. Jacques is also accused of using the internet to try to cover his tracks. In one instance he allegedly hacked into Brooke’s MySpace to make it look like she ran away. That has allowed Jacques to be tried in federal court instead of Vermont court since Vermont does not have the death penalty.

Jacques was a registered sex offender who was released early because he completed a ‘program’.

Jacques has a defense team that consists of some high-profile anti-death penalty attorneys. If you read all my posts about Jacques you’ll tend to agree with me that the death penalty was tailor-made for a piece of scum like him.
