Slain Ark. boy’s parents ask motion picture academy to deny Oscar nod for film about killings:
You remember the real victims of the West Memphis 3 story right? In case you’ve forgotten, I’ll remind you. They were Michael Moore, Stevie Branch, and Christopher Byers. All 8-years-old when they were brutally murdered by Damien Echols and his cohorts. They seem to have been forgotten somewhere all along the line with Hollywood’s lovefest with these child killers.
Two people who haven’t forgotten are the parents of Michael Moore, Todd and Dana Moore. They’ve sent an impassioned letter to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to have the latest so-called documentary about Echols and his cohorts, “Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory”, removed from Oscar contention. I haven’t seen this latest one but I have seen the first two and the details they conveniently left out of the movies is one of the things that made me go from being a supporter to a ‘non’, which is what the black nail polished masses refer to me as.
Anyway here is an excerpt from the letter from the Moores…
“Because of public pressure that exploded due to gross misrepresentations of fact in the two previous documentaries, Michael’s killers were unjustly able to enter into a plea agreement, were released from prison and now pose additional threats to society,” the letter reads.
“We implore the Academy not to reward our child’s killers and the directors who have profited from one of the greatest frauds ever perpetrated under the guise of a documentary film.”
Unfortunately, I doubt that the academy will remove the film from contention. We’re talking about the same academy that gave an Oscar to that other Michael Moore for his series of lies and misrepresentations known as ‘Bowling for Columbine’.
Hollywood thinks it knows what’s best for us and with an army of mindless drones behind them it’s next to impossible to get them to listen to logic and reason.
