T.J. Lane, Ohio school shooting suspect, chose victims at random, prosecutor says:
Since Monday’s school shooting at Chardon High School, two more victims have since died from their injuries. They have been identified as 17-year-old Russel King Jr. and 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin. The two surviving victims are 18-year-old Joy Rickers, who has been released from the hospital, and 17-year-old Nick Walczak. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to their friends and families.
We also have some news about the shooter himself. According to a press conference held by Geauga County Prosecutor David Joyce, Lane picked his victims at random. Not only that, but Joyce said that the shooting had nothing to do with bullying.
Joyce said at a news conference after the court hearing that Lane was someone who was “not well,” and the incident did not involve bullying or drugs.
So hopefully we can put that to rest in this case now.
Prosecutors have also said that they intend to try Lane as an adult. I can’t wait to hear what excuses the kid criminal crowd will give not to have this multiple murderer tried as an adult.
