Kenny Bartley

The last we heard from Campbell County High School shooter Kenny Bartley, he was leaving his native Tennessee to go live with his psychologist and her family in Virginia. That was in February. In April an arrest warrant was issued for Bartley because his ankle monitor indicated Bartley had been allegedly using alcohol, a violation of his probation. However, since the charge is only a misdemeanor, Bartley’s extradition was not actively sought from Virginia. Basically, if Bartley got picked up by police anywhere, then he’d be returned to Tennessee. Then things got weird.

Earlier this month, the three-year-old son of Bartley’s psychologist died after suffering a head injury while alone with Bartley. Bartley’s psychologist said that her son fell down some steps. Police in Virginia are still investigating and did not realize that Bartley had any warrants out for him. Since that time, Bartley has fled the residence in Virginia and has even allegedly taunted police on Facebook, saying, ‘Catch me if you can’.

When I originally posted about Bartley leaving for Virginia, I said that I hope no harm comes to the psychologist or her family. While no one has yet been charged in her child’s death, can it really be that coincidental?
