(Story broke 5/30/2017)
37-year-old Steven Alexander of West Palm Beach, Florida, was said to have placed a craigslist ad that said he was “up for anything.” The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office took notice of this ad and posed as a 14-year-old girl and responded to the ad. Cue the entrapment criers. However, then the subject of age came up in the conversation between Alexander and police and a familiar phrase was heard.
“Age is a number to me. Just be able to handle me in bed.” When the cop told Alexander she was 14, he typed back, “wow.”
He also allegedly sent pictures of his junk to the ‘girl’.
As expected, police arrested Alexander at a pre-arranged meeting. Alexander referred to his actions as “a lapse in judgment.” You don’t say?
Once again, this is not entrapment. Police did not lure a man who wouldn’t normally be drawn into a situation like this. This man was allegedly overjoyed at the prospect of a 14-year-old girl. All matters of a sexual content were brought up by the suspect, not the police.
