
Two weeks ago, the principal at Santaluces High School in Lantana, Florida, found a loaded handgun in the backpack of a 16-year-old student. The gun was said to be a .380-caliber Taurus Spectrum like the one pictured above.
While the gun appears toy-like, it can still hold 6 or 7 rounds. Each of which can represent another dead child. In this case, the gun is said to have had five rounds in the magazine.
No word on how the gun was obtained but it looks like a gun that mom might carry in her purse.
As I’ve said before, you may not think of handguns being used in school shootings since the AR-15 has become so prominent, but it only took a coward armed with two handguns to kill 32 people at Virginia Tech.
