Police in South Florida received a tip from Homeland Security that a Kik user called ‘hardrivefl’ had shared child porn on the mobile messaging app. The IP address was said to have been traced back to 61-year-old Jeffrey Darter of West Palm Beach. Darter was an IT manager at the Supervisor of Elections office.
When police questioned Darter, he allegedly told them that he had a Kik account but never used it. He also is said to have told police…
…he had seen child pornography and had friends interested in it, and that one of them even created a website for it, but did not share their information.
During police questioning, Darter became defensive and allegedly started deleting images from his phone. The same phone where police say they found 174 images of child porn.
I guess he was just holding them for one of his friends.
I don’t know if you’ve heard but Kik has a plethora of sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn collectors among its users. Pass it on.
