You know, the way mobile messaging app Kik provides me with so much material would almost be funny if the app wasn’t full of sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn collectors. For example, take 31-year-old Cody Williams of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Police in La Crosse received a tip that Williams may have been involved in an online conversation with a minor. La Crosse police posed as a 14-year-old girl on Kik and are said to have asked him about the weather. Police say this conversation led to Williams sending a pic of his junk and arranging a meeting for sex. When Williams showed up to the meeting place, an infant was in the backseat of his car.
Even if you’re meeting an adult hookup for the first time, it’s still super creepy to show up with an infant. If that wasn’t enough, the story gets better from here. Or worse depending on how you want to look at it.
When confronted by police, Willams allegedly denied any wrongdoing claiming that he only uses Kik to send pictures to his wife. He reportedly denied sending any explicit messages to police posing as a minor. His defense was that his phone and email had been hacked six months prior. If ‘hacking’ happened as often as these creeps say, we’d all have had our identities stolen by now. Besides, I would imagine that guys who are not only trying to hide something from their wives but also engaging in criminal online activity probably know a thing or two about securing their online accounts.
It makes me wonder where he told his wife he was taking the baby.
