21-year-old Talin C. Ross of Ripon, Wisconsin was recently arrested for allegedly taking a 15-year-old girl to Arizona, but that’s not why he’s here. Prior to his most recent arrest, Ross was under investigation for allegedly trading child porn on the mobile messaging app Kik.
In 2018, Ross was allegedly posing as a woman on Kik by the name of Melislisy Melissa Hernandez. Ross was said to be talking with an undercover agent on Kik and allegedly sent child porn to the agent. Ross then claimed he had assaulted young children, had a “bunch of child porn”, and wanted to molest the agent’s fictitious daughter who was supposed to be nine-years-old.
When federal agents searched his home they found a thumb drive that had 243 images and 92 videos of child porn. Ross tried telling investigators that he had opened a Kik account when he was 16 but closed it a month before he was questioned because his ‘girlfriend’ was being harassed over Kik. He later admitted to posing as a woman on Kik because more people will message you if you’re female.
The coup de grace from Ross’ stories to investigators has to be this…
While Ross denied that he liked “young pornography,” he said had looked at it over the past couple years and it became a “major thing” when he was between the ages of 18 and 19.
I couldn’t find an article that detailed why Ross was not in custody for allegedly possessing child porn. However, he has since been charged with child porn possession after he was arrested for taking the girl to Arizona.
And here’s your obligatory reminder that sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn collectors run rampant on Kik.
