Columbine Zoom-bombed by trolls

Columbine Zoom-bombed by trolls

The other day, Columbine High School held a Zoom call between the school and parents. The call was meant to discuss remote learning during the current pandemic.

Unfortunately, the call was not password protected which allowed some edgelords to hijack the call. News reports call them hackers but it’s not really hacking if there’s no password to crack.

The trolls proceeded to show Nazi imagery along with various gory photos.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Columbine unless a school shooting threat was involved as well. The trolls were said to have threatened a shooting at the infamous school by saying “Going to shoot your kid in the 2020 Columbine remake!”

Sadly, this is not an uncommon occurrence at Columbine as they constantly receive threats all year round. As I mentioned in a previous post, Columbine received 2,400 ‘unauthorized individuals’ treading on school grounds in one year alone. It’s because of this that I recommended that they should tear the school down when the discussion of it came up last year.

I used to say the school should always remain standing in defiance to the cowards who defiled the school grounds with their selfish acts of violence. However, it’s been 21 years since the shooting, and the various threats, plots, and shootings that have invoked the school’s name only seem to be increasing.

Not only does this seem to pose a security risk to the students of Columbine High but it must also be extremely distracting for the students that are just trying to learn.

However, at the end of the day, I’m just some loudmouth on the internet who only has a tentative connection to Columbine. If the local community who actually send their kids there want to school to remain standing then that’s what matters. It’s just my opinion that the community might be better off as a whole if a new school with no connections to the old one was erected.
