36-year-old Corey Bell of New Castle, Indiana, was arrested back in March for allegedly trading CSAM on our favorite messaging app, Kik. As I’m sure you’re very much aware of, Kik is the preferred gathering place of sex offenders, pedophiles, CSAM collectors, and child traffickers.

Bell reportedly told police he didn’t actually look at CSAM, he just gave it to whoever asked for it on Kik.

“So, you distribute child porn because people ask for it?” investigators allegedly asked him.

“Correct,” Bell reportedly responded.

Police asked Bell why he’d distribute child porn without even being paid to do so.

“Because I am an idiot,” Bell allegedly answered.

That response is right up there with our previous contestant, who said he was only trading in CSAM in order to report other CSAM traders.

Bell has been charged with 42 felonies, with most of them carrying a sentencing range from 2 to 12 years each. So, potentially he could have a minimum of over 80 years in prison if a judge was so inclined. And I’m not saying one crime is more abhorrent than the other, but why do CSAM traders seem to get more jail time than actual predators. That could just be anecdotal on my part, but it sure does seem that way sometimes.

And as for why I called Bell a sad egg, I mean…

…am I wrong?
