A Wisconsin transplant surgeon, 46-year-old Calvin Eriksen, has been arrested and charged in a federal case involving the possession and distribution of CSAM. According to court documents, the investigation began in 2023 when disturbing messages and images shared over the Kik messaging app were traced to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee. That’s right, this wasn’t happening in some shadowy basement. It was happening from inside a hospital where lives are saved every day, including those of children.
For those who aren’t familiar, Kik is a messaging app that allows anyone to sign up with just an email and a username; no real name, phone number, or identity verification required. While popular with teens for its anonymity, it has long been a breeding ground for sex offenders, pedophiles, CSAM collectors, and child traffickers. Its lack of safeguards makes it a magnet for people who want to hide behind a screen while doing the unthinkable.
Federal agents say that Eriksen allegedly used a fake name on Kik and began chatting with what he thought was a 29-year-old woman with an 8-year-old daughter. In reality, it was an undercover agent. Eriksen allegedly described in detail what he wanted to do to the child and claimed he had a 22-year-old daughter of his own he wanted to involve. He even discussed traveling to Florida for a meetup and sent photos of himself in medical scrubs, along with CSAM images, asking that they be shown to the child.
Let that sit with you. This wasn’t just a sick fantasy typed out in isolation. This was someone entrusted with the most fragile human beings—infants, kids, and patients under anesthesia—using the same hands meant to heal to type out plans to harm. Surgeons see people at their most vulnerable. The idea that someone in that position could harbor these intentions is beyond chilling.
This is where real child trafficking happens. Not in viral social media conspiracies or Q-coded fantasies. It happens in group chats, in encrypted apps, and behind the credentials of trusted professionals. A man with surgical skills and a medical license, using Kik to hunt for CSAM.
Eriksen has been placed on leave and is not allowed to see patients. He was released on bond with orders to stay away from anyone under 18. His next court appearance is set for July 31. But the damage isn’t just legal. It’s institutional. It’s about how predators can walk through doors marked “Doctor” and how systems still don’t see them coming.
Lastly, I have yet to see any evidence of Dr. Kreeper here being a drag queen.
