I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Back in my late teens during the late 1980s, I used to run with a volunteer rescue squad. For, like, a month. I just didn’t have the stomach for it, and it’s not the type of service to be in when you have massive anxiety issues. Don’t worry. I was neither an EMT nor a paramedic. I didn’t actually treat anyone. I was mainly a gofer, and occasionally I got to drive the ambulance. Not as fun as you might think, by the way.

Anyway, during my brief stint there I learned something about paramedics and EMTs. You need to be a special breed of person to pursue one of those positions. Unfortunately, there are two special breeds of these types of people. There is the special breed who lives to serve their community. Then there’s the ‘special breed’ who are there for all the wrong reasons. The creepy dudes who are either there for the shock factor, try to impress underage girls with their uniform, or both.

Today’s subject is one of the ‘special breed.’ 54-year-old Timothy Lund was a part-time EMT for the Port Washington Fire Department in Wisconsin. He was recently arrested for allegedly sharing CSAM over the city’s internet through the messaging app Kik.

For those of you just joining us, since Kik is a messaging and chat app that’s utilized by many teens, it’s also a known haven for sex offenderspedophilesCSAM collectors, and child traffickers. I typically lump the various types of Kik offenders under the label of ‘Kreeper.’

Lund was reportedly such a Kreeper of the highest, or lowest depending on how you want to look at it, order that he had been previously banned from Kik twice for violating their community standards. Considering how low Kik’s standards are perceived, he must have done some despicable things to get banned twice.

Anyway, Lund claimed to police that he thought the porn he was trading on Kik was legal because “the websites should be monitoring the content.”

And lastly, we have our To Catch a Predator moment. If you’ve never seen the infamous show hosted by Chris Hansen, when the alleged predators would show up to the home where they thought they would be meeting an underage girl, they would often respond with such excuses as “I was just going to hang out” or “I was going to tell the girl how bad it is to meet strangers on the internet.”

Lund, on the other hand, denied preying on minors but said he would talk to them on Kik about cooking and gardening. Right. I’m sure the teens on Kik were just enthralled with his treatises on bell peppers.

All joking aside, this is just another example of people who are supposed to be leaders in their community, who are supposed to be helping those in need, who are instead re-victimizing children by sharing CSAM.

Also, there’s no evidence that Mr. Kreep Jeans is a drag queen.
