Judge Won’t Drop Terrorism Charges Against Students:

The headline is misleading. From every article I’ve read so far, there was no speculation that the terrorism charges were going to be dropped.

Anyway, relatives of the suspects have been quoted in this article…

“I don’t think that that’s possible that they would have ever done that,” said the father of one suspect.

“They’re overreacting. They’re overreacting on those three poor kids. They’re overreacting because of terrorism,” said a woman related to one of the suspects.

And the “Not My Kid” Syndrome strikes again. If it was their kid that was targeted they be screaming for blood.

If making plans to kill 25 people isn’t terrorism then what is?

I’d bet they would be as non responsive as the Columbine parents if the kids actually pulled off their plot.

“Not my kid” syndrome quickly turns to “Not my problem” when the kid actually does the crime.

Maybe the parents should have informed their children that terrorism threats are taken seriously? After more than 4 years,do they need anoth 9/11 as a reminder that terrorism really exists? It’s a lot different than in my day when we worried about the “bomb”…and during final exams ,make comments like ” well,if they drop it I hope it hits our school before that big test tomorrow.”
