Teen allegedly sought sex on MySpace:
18-year-old Billy Craven of Radcliff, Kentucky was arrested for asking a 15-year-old girl to hook-up for sex. He’s been charged with three counts of unlawful use of electronic equipment means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or prohibited activities, which is a felony. Kentucky’s age of consent is 16.
I found a MySpace for Craven but it was bare bones.

…when their parents aren’t home
I’m sorry, but felony? Seems a bit extreme given the closeness in age. Should he have to pay a fine and be restricted from Internet use? Probably. Actually spend time in jail for this…and have a felony conviction on his record? Hell no. Most of these kids aren’t even aware of these kind of laws. If there’s going to be such harsh enforcement, then High School Health class needs to come with a legal primer as well.

There’s always going to be a line, and some sick people are willing to cross it, and they should pay the price when they do. Otherwise there’s no reason for having a line. Think about it… if he would cross the line for a 15 year old, he’ll likely do it for a 13 year old. Would he do it for a 10 year old, or younger? Probably. Let’s put him in jail, give him a felony, and discourage him from ever getting that far, shall we?
