The causes of death in the Benoit family murder-suicide have been made public.

Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press Tuesday.

We have a saying here when murder-suicides like this happen especially when there are children involved. We say “Be a man, and go alone”.

I guess I can unveil Chris Benoit’s new nickname in death. The Canadian Coward Chris Benoit.

    I must say though parents across the country should LEARN from this in the sense that CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO WATCH SHOWS INTENDED FOR ADULT ENTERTAINMENT!!!! Millions of parents of middle school children will be trying to explain this one tonight. My 7 year old has learned alot about WWE from others at school but HE DOES NOT WATCH IT!! He caught a moment of it on the news when he came through the TV room as I watched it last night. He noticed it, he said Mom that was a wrestler and just kind of moved on. It wasn’t about the fact that he died, it was the fact that he was on the news.
    My 12 year old nephew on the other hand is so confused right now. Now his parents have to try and explain to him why a daddy would smother his boy. A father that was an icon to him (my nephew).

    Goodmorning all! Wow!!! All this misguided anger directed toward me is oddly enough, a bit flattering. First of all, Thank you Trench. You’re so kind. -)
    Jim, I’m wondering if you may have missed first comment here and my other posts in different strings regarding this story. I am under the impression that on this site, we are here to give our opinions on the pure evil that gets reported here. If I choose to use a “cheesy term” to agree with another reader, it is because I am comfortable doing so. In no way does using a “cheesy term” reflect ones level intellegence or deflect from the substance of a statement. Only some one who is insecure with their own opinion and so completely wrapped up with what others think of them and how they express their self would make such a statement. I am sorry if that is the case with you. But please, don’t criticize me because you have a problem. I don’t feel like I have done anything to warrant personal attacks from you. My opinion and I are not your enemy.
