And the wrist slapping continues.

April Cooper and Kayla Hassell were both given probation for their parts in the videotaped beating of Victoria Lindsay. Cooper was given two years and Hassell one. That brings the grand total of jail time that all of the suspects have been sentenced to a whopping zero. No jail time at all for a videotaped beating that would make most street gangs proud.

Both were also told they had to write a letter of apology to Victoria. Cooper already had hers and read it aloud in court. From what I’ve heard Victoria wasn’t actually there.

Both have also been ordered not to have any contact with Victoria or her family and they can’t have any accounts on social sites like MySpace or Facebook. How will they endure?

The only one left to be sentenced is Brittini Hardcastle and she’ll be sentenced March 20th.

Minimum 1 year sentence for the whole lot of them.

Wow…I can not believe this. Man people should got jump all of them so they know how it feels, hey why not all they will get is 1-3 years PROBABTION!!! . Oh my god this is totla bullshit. I can not believe they got off so easy. They distroyed a girl’s life and all they got was a slap on the wrist. This is just another way to show u how our judicial system SUCKS!!… I bet it the girls were mexican or black they would have gotten more then that. Stupid dumbass bitches god I hate what this world is coming too.

Alexa, the crimes against Victoria Lindsay were caught on videotape for the world to see which should have made this case a slam dunk for the prosecution. The slaps on the wrist are mindnumbing to me because the prosecution and the judge have the video to watch and the arrested teens still get slaps on the wrists. Amazing. The justice system failed Victoria Lindsay bigtime. That said I all along wanted second chances to be given to the arrested teens. But that was after they served various amounts of time in jail and juvenile detention for what they each did to Victoria.

Hahahah. Of course thats all they got, they didn’t kill anybody and/or seriously injury anyone!!! I said it from the get go that they would only get probation, but all yall dumb asses were soooo sure that they would be in jail for LIFE. Lmao. You know, I dont think that violence is ever the answer, but its not like they were just randomly jumping some church girl selling cookies for the homeless. This girl was one of the nastiest skank hoes you could have met. She was in trouble with the law more then ANY of these girls (yes including mercedes) before all this happened. She aborted her baby. She recently turned ‘lesbian’ and just spent a month in jail for possession. Ohhh but im sure everyone will chalk it up to the beatings fault.. but OH WAIT she was like this BEFORE she got her ass kicked. Shucks.

  I don’t care if she was awful, none of them had a right to lay a hand on her! If they were so big and bad why did all of them jump her? If you think differently you need to rethink life because no one deserves to be beaten like that…all for having a opinion on a web site. Everyone has a opinion. Opinions are not against the law but beating someone is against the law!

but don’t you all feel sorry for the mulberry eight, especially brittini, now they will never find a job because of their criminal records and will be notoriously hated for the rest of their lives. Brittini especially feels bad for what she did and I am very proud of her. I say ‘that’s my girl’ it shows us that she has changed from a criminal and a bully to a good person. I’d say forgive Brittini as long as she never repeats the same mistake again.
