Slain N.Y. ‘masseuse’ may have been robbery victim:

UPDATE: DEATH INVESTIGATION AT THE COPLEY MARRIOTT HOTEL:

Police search for “Craigslist Killer”:

A 26-year-old woman from New York who advertised her massage services on craigslist was shot in killed in the Marriott Hotel in Copley Square in Boston. Police believe she was the victim of a robbery and fought back against her attacker. Police say that she was found with a ‘restraint’ on her wrist. Police believe that this was the work of someone who has been targeting online escorts for robbery in the Boston area.

Each link I posted contains footage from the surveillance cameras at the hotel of who police believe to be a ‘person of interest’.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances of this incident and urges anyone with information regarding this incident to notify them by calling (617) 343-4470. Individuals wishing to provide information anonymously may do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or texting ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police strictly protects the identity of all individuals wishing to provide information anonymously.

Off the top of my head, I believe that this is the eighth murder related to craigslist.

Thanks to Ken for the tip.

One response to “N.Y. craigslist masseuse shot and killed in Boston hotel”

  1. You know how sometimes you can tell just by looking at the headline what newspaper a story is from? “Slain N.Y. ‘masseuse’ may have been robbery victim” just kinda screams BOSTON HERALD. Also, I think I went to a prom at that hotel. But the guy in the picture does not look familiar. Except that he looks exactly like thousands upon thousands of college guys at Northeastern, BU, BC and Harvard. So really, now that I think of it, he may be a freakin’ genius.
