Ft. Lewis sergeant faces federal prostitution charges:
Fort Lewis soldier now faces federal pimping charges:
26-year-old Army Sgt. Sterling Terrance Hospedales of Ft. Lewis, Washington has been federally charged with child prostitution for pimping out two teen girls. He advertised both of them on craigslist. His arrest was in April and was originally only charged in the county but county officials dropped their charges against him to make way for the federal charges.
One was a 16-year-old from Wyoming and the other was a 17-year-old. Both were listed as missing persons.
He allegedly put the 17-year-old up in an apartment where she would turn tricks. Hospedales also paid for the 16-year-old’s plane ticket from Wyoming and allegedly threatened her with violence if she didn’t pay him the money back by hooking.
While the 17-year-old did turn tricks for him the 16-year-old never got the chance before Hospedales’ arrest.
Time for the test again. Don’t worry, there’s no math.
Consenting adults? No on both counts. Victimless? No again. Would this have happened if prostitution was legal? Yep. Unless you want to legalize child prostitution too?
I would call Hospedales a disgrace to his uniform but I never served so I don’t feel like I have the right. But if you served in our nation’s military please feel free to do so in the comments.
