‘Strong lead’ in case of man who allegedly arranged wife’s rape:

Man Accused of Arranging Wife’s Rape on Craigslist Jailed on $200G Bond:

Local police and federal law enforcement say they have strong leads on the man who is believed to have carried out the actual rape that was arranged by a Kannapolis, NC man on his wife.

Secret Service is going over the husband’s computer and phone records and feel they will more than likely capture the alleged rapist.

The husband himself is being held on $200K bond.

According to Kannapolis police the ad allegedly said that the husband wanted someone to come to his house and have sex with his wife using ‘scare tactics’.

craigslist has issued a response but it wasn’t directly from CEO Jim Buckmaster. It was issued through craigslist mouthpiece Susan MacTavish Best. We haven’t heard from her in a while.

“We share the public’s horror that such a crime was committed, and our heart goes out to the victim,” said Craigslist spokeswoman Susan MacTavish Best.

Hollow words at best considering craigslist’s reputation.
