Tracy Hermann and James Sargent

Sargent gets 100 years for death of son:

James Sargent of Peoria, Illinois has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for the death of his son, 5-month-old Benjamin Sargent. As you’ll recall Sargent and the birth organism, Tracy Hermann, allegedly left Benjamin strapped in his car seat in his crib for days while they went about their lives not feeding him, changing him or even checking in him. Benjamin died from an infection caused by the feces in his diaper that eventually ate through his skin.

Hermann’s trial is set to start in October.

  1. This is the story that made me bawl my eyes out.
Why don’t they strap him to his bed and allow the same to happen?

SICK F*CKS. SICK, SICK SICK, SICK F*CKS.

  2. I don’t think James will survive long in prison. For his sake, I hope he repents and turns to God/Jesus before someone shivs him.

    What’s happening to Tracy?

Trench, you going to do a post about the king of pop? I’m rather sad that Farrah Fawcet’s death is getting overshadowed by Michael Jackson’s. 😛

  3. I’ve posted about it on my Twitter account. Basically I said that I guess he couldn’t stand the attention that Farrah was getting and will the Elephant Man’s family get to bid on his skeleton?

  4. 100 years. really? they ought to strap him into a chair and leave him to sit in his own filth and eventually starve to death.

or strap him into a different kind of chair and throw the switch.

  5. in one of the articles i read it said james read an 11 page statement before he was sentenced…rambling on about armegeddon and blah blah blah….he never once mentioned his son benjamin…never offered up an apology any remorse NOTHING. mentally ill? who knows…who cares? possibly a lengthy stay in prison, where his inmates can remind him daily of what he did and why he’s there, might snap him back into the real world.
i hope that cold hearted bitch traci receives the same sentence. i don’t give a fat rat’s ass whether she wanted to give him up for adoption at birth or not. she bore that child and she owed him a decent life. even in his death she semmed to show no emtion (other than being a bit irritated that she was being questioned.)

  6. I originally read this post and wanted to cry. I have two girls. A 12 year old and a 2 year old. So, I cannot imagine how you leave a baby alone for 8 days straight. I cannot even fathom how they did not respond to his cries and eventually his screams. Or the unbelievable amount of pain he was in before he eventually died.

It was a heinous crime and he and his vagina deserve the harshest penalty at law. I feel no pity for either one of them and I hope karma comes to bite them in the a$$.

    Nicely done, judge.

  8. Well it would be nice if he stay in jail for the 100 years. But we all know there comes the appeals and in one of those appeals these sentence will be turn out, they will find him insane…..
The so call parents should be put to death poor angel.

  9. I think once you’re convicted they can’t find you insane.

  10. Karen, I’m on the same page as you. If she wanted to give him up for adoption, she should have. She has no excuse for her coldheartedness or lack of a heart. This one story really bothers me the most.

I’m glad a judge has finally thrown down a sentence I can be on board with. Now only if he’d added, “Oh, and you have to serve that strapped to your bed while you shit and piss yourself….and we’re not feeding you”.

  11. 100 years? Quit wasting my tax dollars. Put him out of my misery. Electrocute him and get it over with.

  12. Electricity’s expensive too these days, Kathy. Bullets are cheap. Dropping him in a (full) septic tank for a week would be free. I vote for that one….

  13. Angel, I like your idea best. But, I do think that he should first be pushed down a short flight of concrete steps while naked to ensure that he has lots of open wounds to help the bacteria easily enter his body. And, the septic tank shouldn’t be over his head. He doesn’t need to drown right away. A slow painful infection that seeps into his blood and causes extreme pain and high fever while causing his internal organs to shut down is okay with me.

  14. wow i love you girls.. you make this torture stuff sound like such fun!

  15. Be sure to place a plate of his favorite food within sight, but just out of reach (like they did with the bottle in the carseat) so that he can see the thing he most desires, but understands that he can’t get to it.

  16. You can’t play the mentality ill card on this one. I was diagnosed when I was eleven with bipolar disorder, and even when I was in and out of hospitals and on meds and going to therapy I never wanted to hurt a child, and I was a teaching assistant AND a nanny for most of my life.

  17. I am so happy to see justice being served. This case really rocked me when I first heard of it. The story was mentioned on our local news…ONCE. I have diligently followed what was going on. Did it state if that was 100 yrs without parole…I sure hope so…for Benjamin’s memory, and all the innocents that have died. I hope the ‘birth-bitch’ gets 101 years…how do you do this to a baby??? I say, tie them to chairs and let them experience what little Benjamin went through…I hate these f’ckin pigs that caused this.

  18. Ana…I think if any appeals are filed, they should fall on blind eyes, and deaf ears, just as little Benjamins’ crying was ignored by these c**k s*****s. God forbid that I feel the anger I do. Bless the babies.
Even better, they should turn both the breeders over to US, and let us show them what justice is.
