Chesapeake resident responding to Craigslist ad helps make arrest:

Portsmouth man arrested for trying to solicit teen online:

42-year-old William Russell Geister (pictured) of Portsmouth, Virginia is accused of posting an ad on craigslist seeking the ‘company’ of teenage, and I would assume underage, girls.

It wasn’t police that came across the ad though. It was a woman from Chesapeake, Virginia who noticed the ad and decided to contact Geister posing as a teen. The woman collected enough evidence from Geister that the Chesapeake police were able to file solicitation charges against Geister. He may be facing additional charges as well.

Kudos, the chocolate kind, to the woman who decided to go after Geister. Not only did she help put a potential child molester away but she did it within the confines of the law.

And is it me or does Geister look like your stereotypical child molester?

Apparently, Trench’s assumptions were borne out in the fact that the woman from Chesapeake was able to collect enough evidence to have Geister arrested. She was posing as a teen, and was solicited by Geister.Good call, Trench!

Just for the sake of argument, Angel, your response missed Chris’s point. He accused Trench, correctly, of having an image come to his mind when he thinks of a generic child molester. What Chris fails to realize is that many people have ready mental images for when they think of various subjects, and that such images often aid in thinking about the subjects.

Granted, but the only part of the article in which Trench USED the word ‘assume’, was in reference to underage girls. That’s what I was pointing out.The comment about the child molester’s looks was more an observation, in my estimation. I’m sure we all know that child molesters come in many different shapes and sizes – from the priest or church youth director dressed in a suit, to the skeevy, nasty, toothless street person who smells like a dumpster. If you look at most of the mug shots and other pics of child molesters, though, most of them have that glassy, ‘who cares’ stare. You can tell they have no remorse, and they show no emotion. That is the ‘look’ most of us refer to when pointing out these pedos.And Chris is a woman.
