Opening arguments begin in Dunbar Village gang-rape trial:

Today is the opening day of the trial for Dunbar Village gang rape suspects Nathan Walker and Tommy Poindexter. Their fate will be decided by two separate juries.

Walker’s attorney makes the grandiose claim that there is little evidence to support that Walker was even involved in the various crimes he’s accused of.

Poindexter’s attorney made the more reasonable statement that her client was part of the group that gang-raped a woman and made her have sex with her son but that he’s not guilty of the 11 crimes he’s charged with. I said a more reasonable statement and I didn’t say it was necessarily truthful.

The prosecution said that the evidence including DNA is insurmountable.

Both of them are Poindexter and Walker are looking at 11 life sentences.
