Finnish court acquits Kauhajoki policeman:

The cop who interviewed Kauhajoki gunman Matti Saari and chose not to take Saari’s gun was acquitted on charges of negligent homicide.

The unnamed officer questioned Saari the day before the shootings at Kauhajoki where Saari murdered 10 people at the school.

A lawyer representing the victims’ families says they will appeal and they should because this officer obviously failed with Saari and returned the weapon to him that he used to kill those people.

Here in America, from what I’ve heard, an ineffective cop like that is called a donut eater. I wonder what they’re called in Finland.

are you serious? Saari made a video at the shooting range shooting his pistol, at the end of the video he fires at the ground and camera saying “you will die next.” Then pointing arming and firing the gun at the ground in front of the lens. What can the police do? nothing. There is no actual use of specific names or targets, just saying “you will die next.” then shooting your gun at your own camera and uploading it to the internet is not a crime. Saari legally owned his gun. I do not see what idea in your mind is thinking the cop is negligent for homicide? Most likely Saari is a smooth liar and just lied to the police saying it was just a video. Finland’s population is apparently full of guns and they are widely accepted there as normal. But again time and time again, if people would just look a little further online and check their comments and notes, web sites, social networking pages, they could get a better idea, but even that wouldn’t be enough unless they found written plans saying “tomorrow I am going to shoot up Kajouki” but they never found those documents and just talked to him. So there is no reason to blame the cop he had no right to treat Saari like a criminal because there was no probable cause other than a silly gun video among the 1000s of gun videos on youtube where people yell “DIE MOTHER FUCKKERRR!!” and all that shit. How can you blame the cop for homicide? That is not right. 😦 And That day Saari showed he was a sick fuck but he was smart enough to actually escape the school after and get away which shows that he is either lucky or has a high intelligence level or both. If he is smart enough to do that then obviously he is smart enough to out wit some cops investigating a “gun video” he made online. The cop should walk. obviously.
