Police: Man Dead after Answering Craigslist Ad for ATV:

A man from Shelby Township, Michigan is dead after responding to a craigslist ad for an ATV.

The man and a friend went to a house in Detroit after responding to an ad for an ATV. The ‘seller’ said he needed a ride to get the keys. While in transit the ‘seller’ shot both men killing one.

The suspect is still at large and the victim has not yet been named.

One of these days I’m going to tally the body count that craigslist has left in its wake and have sort of a memorial.

Don’t forget to tell your friends that craigslist is not only dangerous but they do nothing to protect their users. Let them know about this site to show them that craigslist isn’t the trustworthy hippy commune that everyone thinks it is.

And since this happened in Murder City don’t expect to see this in the national media.

    The victim lived on my street, and I talked to him just days ago…so sad.

    Jimmy was one of the best men I had the blessing to know, I havent seen him in a long time, my heart is broke for his family, I hope they catch this man, he went down to watch the other mans back to buy a atv, anyone who knew Jimmy knew he was the one to call if you needed that, this is a a sign that we are all at risk and beware….

    Jimmy was my cousin. The whole family is still reeling from this. To think, this wasn’t in the news is sickening! Where are the warngings to others? Just because it was Detroit? They were there in broad daylight, two of them, I mean, they were doing everything “right.” Some warped a-hole can just step in and kill the kindest, sweetest man I know. Heartbreaking. Our family will NEVER be the same!

    If the buyer was traveling FROM DETROIT TO Shelby Twp tho, (say whatever you want everyone knows its true) it would have hit every station radio and tv from here all the way across the country.

      I see your point but I doubt it. The only craigslist killings that have made the national news were in New York and Boston.

      Michigan, much like Minnesota, Texas and Virginia just doesn’t matter to the national media.
