Man again faces trial for allegedly biting son’s eye:

One of, if not the, worst stories I’ve ever posted on this site was the story of the two Angelo Mendozas from Bakersfield, California.

If you’ll recall Angelo Mendoza Sr. ‘allegedly’ bit the eyes of his then 4-year-old son Angelo Mendoza Jr. in a PCP fueled rage. Mendoza Sr. bit his son so hard that he bit one of his eyes out and took a big chunk of muscle with it. Mendoza Sr. is said to have actually eaten one of his own son’s eyes. The other eye was so badly damaged they thought that Angelo Jr. might never be able to see out of that eye again. Partial sight has since returned to that eye.

Previously Mendoza Sr. was ruled mentally incompetent to stand trial. Now after a stay at a mental facility, a judge has ruled that Mendoza is now mentally competent to stand trial.

Of course, he’s pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. I don’t think insanity and high on PCP is considered as the same thing.

Too bad he can’t receive the death penalty. I would love to know that they jammed the death needle in his eye instead of his arm.

    Definitely one of the worst stories I have read on here, it was horrific to read what happened to little Angelo jr. God bless his wee heart.

    That story was sooo disturbing that I left work and went home to hug my little guy! I am glad that they saw through his BS and he is going to stand trial. He won’t last long in prison when he gets there.

    I remember when this happened. It made me very upset. I mean very upset. When my boyfriend asked me what was wrong I told him about this story and then he got very upset too, turns out sr. there is my boyfriends second or third cousin….

    I remember when I read this my son came dancing into the room with his bright blue eyes and I literally just started bawling. I had to turn off the computer and grab my son in a big hug. I cannot imagine the evil in the hearts of some parents. That poor precious little boy. I have never forgotten this story. This is horrible.

    They need to take the eyes from the father and give to the son so he can see again (can they do that? Eye transplants? Lets try with the father’s eyes) And while they’re at it donate his penis to make fertilizer. He won’t need it anymore. All you really need in prison is a good cornhole.

        I hate that term for that game…it blows my mind when Drew’s really religious parents use the term “cornhole” in a sentence if reference to the mind numbing toss across game…I have to fight the urge to snicker at the concept of his mom and dad referring to anal sex or something.

    The savageness of that man’s attack on that little boy leaves me with absolutely no sympathy for that monster at all. Tie him behind a pick up tuck and drag his lame ass across the desert. Do it piece by bloody piece if you have to.

    i would have to agree with you, being mentally insane and being high on pcp are NOT the same thing. This fucking toolbag CHOSE to do drugs that are known, even to me, who has never actually known anyone who has done PCP, that the drug makes you freak the fuck out. and if anyone tried to plead ignorance to this side effect of the drug, how about the fact that taking drugs when you are an adult, and have another human being, the most sacred of people, a little toddler, that counts on you, to take care of, is a SHITTY, SELFISH AND IRRESPONSIBLE THING TO DO.

    I am sick, just sick of hearing of these stories that have parents taking drugs!!! Grow the fuck up or give your child to someone who can put the child’s needs first. Do one selfless thing in your life and give your child up, if you can’t stay sober for someone as precious as your own baby.

    I have no sympathy for addicts that continue to use and let their kids suffer at the hands of their own selfish drug use. THE PROOF IS ON THIS WEBSITE: You cannot be a good parent and a drug user. They are illegal for good reason. Assholes.
