10-year-old Zahra Baker of Hickory, North Carolina was reported missing on Saturday however police fear she might be dead. The girl, who was originally from Australia, hasn’t been seen by anyone outside her family since September. Zahara is a bone cancer survivor who has a prosthetic leg and hearing aids.

Zahra’s step-monster, Elisa Baker, is accused of making a fake ransom note in order to throw investigators off the trail. Zahra’s dad, Adam Baker, moved Zahra and himself to Hickory after he met Elisa Baker online and they got married.

Witnesses say that Elisa Baker would hit Zahra and that Zahra was often locked in her room for most of the day and was only allowed to eat. Zahra’s biological mother left her at an early age and Adam Baker raised her.

Police believe that Zahra is now dead.

Neither Breeder, in this case, has been charged in the disappearance yet but they are people of interest.

On a MySpace page that the media is attributing to Elisa Baker, it sounds like she’s a self-absorbed bitch who claims she has a disease that keeps her indoors. The media are also making a big deal that the 42-year-old Baker is a goth but to me, that doesn’t mean crap except for the fact that people who still call themselves goth at 42 are still trying to live their teens and early 20s.

Meanwhile, Zahra had a prosthetic leg that she lost to cancer and had to wear hearing aids at the age of 10 and by all accounts was still a happy child.

What I don’t get is why anyone would move to the other side of the world for this…

I don’t think it’s any mystery what happened here. Elisa wanted a man but didn’t want the baggage of a disabled child. Plus I’m sure Zahra probably got more attention from Adam Baker than her step-Breeder did and Elisa Baker wanted her out of the way. I’m not sure yet how Adam Baker fits into this yet.

    What a beautiful little girl and that smile. No matter what this world dealt this little girl for that past ten years she apparently was able to deal with and keep living. I’m sure medical personel, councelors and family and friends who loved her, did all they could to make her comfortable. Until the worst “diseased brain” she could contract came into her life……. Her stepmother. Stories about stepmothers hit me close to home. I am a stepmother to 4 wonderful kids, they are all grown and I only have one of them left in our home. I couldn’t hurt any child, let alone the children of the man that I love. Also little girls, especially ones with an amputated leg, a cancer survivor and who knows what else, don’t just dissapear out of nowhere. Really!!! I think even the worst criminals would hesitate before harming this baby. Fuck!!! But this “thing” you feature in this true story is more than evil, she’s lower than the worst scum of the earth. How could you call yourself human and hurt the most defenseless ones. I truly hope her new friends in prison teach her a lesson or many many lessons.
    Baby girl, may you be at peace wherever you are and may our heavenly father protect you and receive you with open arms…. I pray that you are in a better place, anywhere was probably better than in the wrath of this evil witch.

    I saw this story before it was listed here. The article said the neighbors said that Elisa was constantly beating on the child and screaming at her. They also said the she exhibited violent tendencies and threatened neighbors. The one thing I never could figure out through that whole article… Why didn’t anyone call Child Services…

    This little one went through so much in her little life. She survived cancer only to be beaten and tortured by a self obsessed weirdo. Rest in peace little one! Self obsessed weirdo-ROT IN HELL!

    What I can’t get is WHERE the hell the father was in all this?? If only the parents can account for the girl in the last month then the Dad obviously has to be hiding something. It sounds like up until meeting this Dildo that he was a loving &amp devoted Dad..so what went wrong?? I hope these so called “friends”, neighbors &amp family members who knew this child was being mistreated and did nothing can’t live with themselves. They are just as responsible as the actual murderers

    THAT’S a female?!?! Looks like Martin Sheen in drag……

    I hope the neighbors who knew about this and did nothing have nightmares that wake them up screaming every night. If they knew this witch was abusive, then they share in some of the blame for Zahra’s death. The dad needs to be beaten until he tells the truth, and then beat him a little more.

    This whole situation reeks of BS – most of it probably came out of the Sheen-cow……..

    This one breaks my heart into a million pieces. If my child had to overcome what this sweetie did I would shower her with all the love and affection I could muster and it would still feel inadequate. These people suck balls!

    Zahra is breathtakingly beautiful. Those rosy cheeks of hers are just adorable!

    This is the second story I’ve read where the parent married someone they met online and the stepparent abused the child (The first was about a little girl named Riley Ann Sawyers. Her mother married a man she met over World of Warcraft [I think] and he killed 2-year-old Riley within a 2-hour period. The mother also helped). Seriously, why would you marry someone you met over the internet? At least spend some time with them in REAL LIFE for a few months! I hope Zahra is alive and found to be placed in a better home. If she’s not, then I hope she’s in a better place and having fun with all the other angels.

    Since no one has seen this child since before September 1, it’s pretty clear she’s dead. Usually, we read about mothers putting their children at risk for the sake of some dick, but it looks like this is a case where a father compromised his daughter’s welfare and happiness just for a lousy piece of tail.

    From what I gather from the latest reports, it seems the little girl was put through a wood chipper and then her remains were burned. I only hope she was dead before any of this happened.

    The step mother and this failure of a father need to be put down. Or better still, put into general pop so the inmates can take care of them slowly and gruesomely.
